Editorial standards & corrections

Published 12 September 2026

Ananas Insider publishes practical guides about Thailand and Hua Hin. Our aim is to help readers make informed decisions, understand trade-offs and find the right original source when details matter.

An archive under review

We are reviewing our existing articles and images against the standards below. This work is ongoing: the presence of an article on the site does not mean that its full review has been completed. Where a substantial correction is made, an article-level note explains the change. A technical update date alone is not a claim that every fact was rechecked.

Sources and factual claims

For laws, visas, healthcare, prices and market data, our standard is to link to the relevant authority, provider or original dataset and explain the date and scope of the information. An advertised asking price is not a completed sale; a national statistic is not a Hua Hin statistic. Estimates and worked examples must be identified as such.

We do not treat AI output as evidence. Claims that cannot be supported should be removed or clearly qualified. Readers should confirm time-sensitive requirements with the responsible authority before acting. Our general guides do not replace individual medical, legal or financial advice.

Reviews and first-hand experience

A buying guide or desk-researched comparison must not imply hands-on testing. Claims about visits, interviews, measurements and product use require records supporting that work. We do not invent local experiences, testimonials, rankings or performance results to make a guide sound authoritative.

Photographs and illustrations

A photograph presented as a named place, person or product must actually depict that subject. Generic photographs should be described as illustrative, not passed off as a local visit. Older photographs should be dated where their age matters. Conceptual illustrations can explain abstract subjects, but must not be presented as documentary photographs of real locations.

We also create photorealistic AI illustrations for generic everyday scenes. These images are not evidence of a visit, a real person’s experience or the appearance of a named place or product. Generation records are retained in our editorial files; generic illustrations do not carry individual captions.

Credits for third-party cover photographs are available with the article’s endnotes. Our image review records the source and usage permission; a credit is not a substitute for permission. We are replacing archive imagery that does not meet these standards.

Authorship and assisted editing

“Ananas Editorial” is a collective publication byline, not an individual medical, legal or investment expert. Named author pages collect the articles attributed to that person; an archive is not a professional credential.

AI-assisted tools are used in the current archive review for drafting, editing and technical checks. Sources, factual limits and image provenance still need verification. Assisted writing must not fabricate personal experience or substitute for expert advice.

Commercial relationships

Advertising and commercial relationships should be distinguishable from editorial recommendations. See our advertising disclosure for the site's disclosure policy.

Request a correction

Please use our contact page to report a factual error, misleading image or copyright concern. Include the article URL, the specific passage or image, and a supporting source if available. Substantial corrections should explain what changed rather than silently preserving an unsupported claim.
